Company Description:
Urban Kids Photography is a boutique photography studio providing award-winning stylized children’s portraiture, premium photographic products, and a relationship-based client-focused experience.
Summary:
This position reports directly to the Owner and is responsible for general administrative and studio management duties.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage client bookings and requests
- Handle phone / e-mail / walk-in inquiries
- Package and coordinate pick-up / delivery of orders
- Act as liaison between studio and vendors
- Perform accounts payable / receivable
- General bookkeeping and record-keeping
- Organize / clean studio as needed
- Conceive and execute marketing campaigns and maintain storefront displays
- Other duties as assigned
Hours / Location:
15 hours per week over three days during "school day hours" (i.e., 9-2 or 10-3, hours are flexible). Tuesdays required plus two additional days (choice of days is flexible). The studio is located in downtown Birmingham with some occasional local driving.
Compensation:
Hourly.
Special Considerations:
- Competency in MS Office suite, social media, and basic computer skills required
- Bachelor's degree strongly desired
- All candidates are subject to a background check
- Please note this position will NOT be responsible for photographing clients or working with photographs in any way (an interest in photography is welcome however this position will not lead to photographing or "creative" opportunities)
- Image and appearance are of particular importance
- Interest in sales a plus (possible client sales opportunity with additional compensation may become available)
- 12-month commitment required
