Keeping My Head Above Water (Gasp!)

This time of year is always crazy, but this year has been off the hook -- several appointments each day and training a new staff. It's a lot to deal with, but who can complain?! I couldn't wait to get to these cuties below -- a family of three individual cute kids and a couple nice family shots taken about a month ago (they've been busy, I've been busy, so we're just getting to our design consultation). I especially LOVE the father-daughter shot. What a fun moment! So much fun with both families :)

This little guy, "J" was such a charmer last weekend in Plymouth, MI. We had a blast playing with the leaves, running around in the park, just hanging out. He's a doll (love those eyes!) and really captured the fun of a Michigan fall with his colorful outerwear and leaves. Thanks, J!

The Frost Is On the Pumpkin . . . It's Getting Chilly Round These Parts!

There's nothing like a cool, colorful Michigan autumn. It's by far my favorite time of year and it makes up for so many things about living in Michigan, but we woke up to freezing temperatures this morning and photographed in the COLD, COLD morning in Birmingham. The smiles of the kids we worked with today totally warmed my heart and I had a special guest and friend, Angie Chauvin (check out her beautiful work) shadow me this morning as I worked. It was such a special treat and she always brightens my day.

Here are a few shots from recent sessions. I'm going out of order on the blog (I know a lot of moms who are looking for their little ones) and have LOTS more to post, but this is good for now.

Holiday cards are coming! I'm working up a flurry of designs and can't wait to reveal them to clients. Back in a flash :)

Gratitude Gala & A Farewell to "M"

October is here! This morning we woke up to the first frost of the year and the unofficial beginning of fall -- my absolute FAVORITE time of year! I'm so sad though because my little friend, "M" is leaving the area and heading for sunnier skies -- she's moving :( I SO enjoyed working with "M" and her mom and hope to keep in touch. This set below is so "fall fun" and completes our baby plan.
