It's been a whirlwind summer so far . . . off to faraway fun places to shoot for a fabulous group of clients. Here's a sampling of some of the images we took in Palo Alto, CA a few weeks ago. These two were the most animated and sharp-witted kiddos I've ever met (no surprise, both parents are professors at Stanford . . . these apples surely do NOT fall far). We grabbed a chair from the living room and threw it onto the grass and simply played around outside on a warm, overcase California day!

An interesting trend I'm finding . . . I have probably worked with only a handfull of Indian clients over the years and this month alone I've worked with (and will work with next week) five Indian families. I feel so lucky! Nothing like beautiful toned skin, glossy dark hair, and infinitely beautiful brown eyes.

Returned from our annual "Day at the Beach" session at Bay Harbor yesterday. Ahhh . . . still feeling so relaxed. Images from that session (and others) coming soon . . .

Just returned from Silicon Valley to shoot beautiful California kids last weekend. Great images to show off from that trip soon. In the meantime, I worked with "N" and "Baby K" a few weeks ago around the Birmingham studio. "N" featured a cutstom wardrobe from Gap and Gymboree and was a total sweetheart. "Baby K" enlivened the shoot with energetic fun. We got a while bunch of shooting in just before the rains rolled in. Can't wait to see these two back in a few months!

Hats Off To Little "C"

We've had a lot of newborns lately . . . love the new ones and photographing everything about them. "C" came accessorized with many hats recently and we thank premier baby and children's boutique Bec & Sam's of downtown Birmingham for pulling wardrobe (the striped blue hat) on a moment's notice for even more fun during the shoot. From a former Michigan grad to a future one, GO BLUE!

Loved working with "S" and "Z" again, a year after their first session as part of the "Duos" plan (two sessions within 12 months). We had a spectacular May morning in Bloomfield Hills at the Johnson Nature Center. "S" is such a natural model and soaks it up. "Z" is Mr. Busy Body with those amazing brown eyes. "S" also modeled for us a week later (first shot below) as part of the SOLD OUT Get Focused! Workshop. Thanks, "S" for showin' em how it's done!

What a fun session with beautiful little "L" a few weeks ago. She's just perfect and was a wonderful baby to work with. We've worked with her big brother, "B" three times already in the last year so "L" has lots of catching up to do.

Just a couple of shots of my little guy as we waited for our breakfast table at Toast Restaurant in downtown Birmingham a few weeks ago. It was a cold morning but this little guy is always a ray of sunshine to me. Can't believe he just turned 4 and is getting SO BIG!
