A Year To Date
June 23, 2010

We didn't schedule it this way, but as it turns out, I photographed little "N" as a newborn exactly one year ago to the date.  She was one of the most precious newborns (take a look for yourself by checking out the June 2009 page -- scroll about half way down) and is one of the most beautiful one-year-olds I've worked with as well. She wasn't feeling too smiley (in fact, she was pretty unsure of this whole photography thing) but we got some fiercely dramatic looks out of this gorgeous girl that I like just as well.  The "R" family is one of my favorite families and I'm honored  to work with them again.  Hope to see them soon and to watch Ms. "N" grow each year.  Thanks guys!

Jaime + Scott = Five Years Married
June 21, 2010

I had the privilege of working with Jaime and Scott a few weeks ago.  Most couples do engagement shots to celebrate their love just before marriage.  This couple is celebrating their five-year anniversary.  How cool is that!?  Working with them was such a creative fresh breath of air.  Such a departure from the little ones.  And no time spent rolling around on my stomach and on my knees.  I felt so inspired by their connection and their energy.  Thanks guys!

Think Pink
June 16, 2010

It's been a very busy week with more to come this weekend.  We had a beautiful weekend (though very HOT) for our Think Pink Three Day Walk For the Cure sessions.  We raised a few thousand dollars in just a couple of hours.  Woohoo!  I'm grateful for all my returning clients who came out to support the cause.

One of our sessions featured the newest member of the "O" family, little "A."  Along for the ride were his two older twin sisters.  I wonder if there was a little jealousy since "A" got all the attention.  Oh well, brooding makes for a pretty cool photo too.

Ms. "E" showed up looking darling as ever. Classic beauty. And check out that twirl power!

Finally, if little Ms. Orange doesn't make you feel like summer, I'm sorry to say there's no hope. So much sticky sweet fun!

Don't wander off, more to come . . .

"A" and Little Darby
June 3, 2010

"A" and I met up a few weeks ago in Royal Oak.  It was a very rainy morning and we dodged in and out of the Starbucks to take cover.  This is the third time I've worked with little "A" and it's so much fun to watch her grow (and always in her adorable Matilda Jane's).  This time around, little "A" was on the go and full of energy.  She and Darby (see below) kept me on my toes.  "A" is now a big sister to an adorable little guy who I got to meet last week.  Thanks "L" family.  It was great seeing you all again!

"J"
June 1, 2010

"J" and I had a playdate last week at his home.  He spent lots of time toddling behind a small riding toy while mom and I just watched him pass back and forth on the driveway (well, I did most of the "watching" while mom did most of the work trailing behind little "J" trying to guide him back into the good lighting).   Later, we headed to downtown Birmingham and hung out for a short while.  I LOVE working with little ones at this age -- so sweet and curious about the world and lots of personality.  Check back to see more of little "J" and mommy (and hopefully daddy too)later this year -- he's signed up for the Duos Plan (one full and one mini session within a year).
