Availability Update

 Happy New Year!  We're accepting bookings for 2010 and will be calling back those on the wait list beginning January 4.  Full sessions and mentoring programs will begin the second week of January; mini sessions will begin in mid-March.  We look forward to working with you this year!

January 10  |  Calling the Class of 2011!  Fresh Faces Senior Portrait Campaign

Urban Seniors Photography is looking for up to 20 Class of 2011 models and reps (men and women) in any Birmingham, Howell, West Bloomfield, Farmington, Plymouth, or Northville school to help spread the word about our metro Detroit senior portrait photography work.  (Students in other school districts are free to inquire as well - just give us a call!)

Participants will join us for an exlusive FREE Senior Session on Saturday, March 20 with award-winning photographer, Karen Lippowiths, to create some cool promo shots.  Participants will also receive $10 in Starbucks gift cards, a small promo collection featuring their images, a Facebook folio, and a chance to earn a senior portrait package worth more than $1,000.  PLUS, book your senior portrait session to take place by May 31 and receive $50 additional order credit.  Your collection may include images from your mini promo session and full session as well.

Modeling experience is not necessary.  Students just need to be upbeat, outgoing, and able to share the word with friends.  (All participants will be asked to sign a standard release and non-compete clause.  Parental permission is required for anyone under 18.)

January 8  |  A Day at the Beach -- Inn at Bay Harbor Photo Sessions Labor Day Weekend 2010

Just the thought of a warm, sandy beach and fun in the sun (it's 10 degrees with a half foot of snow on the ground right now).

We're excited to announce a unique session coming up for Labor Day 2010: A Day at the Beach at the Inn at Bay Harbor in Petoskey, MI on Saturday, September 4.

We're offering a "pure Michigan" experience that includes one mini session on the private beach and grounds of the beautiful Inn at Bay Harbor.  We'll also offer a "fireside photo" chat on Saturday night complete with marshmallows, chocolate bars, and graham crackers (and of course, lots of family fun).

This exlusive weekend session will be made available to only 4 families (possibly 6, depending on the number of children per family). 2 slots currently remain.  Call us at (248) 320-1943 to book your slot then see you there!

(Guest rooms at the Inn at Bay Harbor begin range $235-$500 per night and are filling fast for Labor Day weekend.  Clients need not stay at the Inn to participate in A Day at the Beach and are welcome on the grounds as a guest of Urban Kids Photography, but are responsible for meeting us at the appointed location the day of the session. Clients are responsible for all travel arrangements and associated costs.  No refunds for travel costs will be granted should the session be cancelled for any reason.  Should the session be cancelled due to inclement weather, a special session will be arranged in the metro Detroit area shortly thereafter.)

January 1  |  2010: Resolve To Help A Child LOVE the Way They Look!

It's a new decade and most of us are resolving to improve our own appearances (again) this year.   Urban Kids Photography has resolved to help a child love the way *they* look.  We're challenging you to help us support one of our favorite organizations, Operation Smile, by growing our Urban Kids Photography Facebook Fan club to 1,000 members this month.

If we reach our goal, Urban Kids Photography will DONATE UP TO $500 TO OPERATION SMILE ($.50 for each Facebook Fan). This small amount will fund life-changing cleft lip or palate repair surgeries for two deserving children.

We'll also offer one FB Fan a $20 STARBUCKS card and another (metro Detroit) Fan $100 CREDIT toward a Spring photo session as thanks. SO, JOIN THEN TELL A FB FRIEND. Heck, tell em all!  We promise this will be way easier than cutting out cookies or hitting the gym, and you'll feel great!
